I am wondering if this SIG is the right place for me to be following if the
towns I am interested in were in what formerly was Germany...Prussia. It
is Poland today...should I be following this SIg or the German Jewish SIG?
If your interest is specifically focussed on vital records, note that:
The goal of Jewish Records Indexing - Poland (JRI-Poland) is to
create a World-Wide-Web - based, searchable database of the
indices of 19th century Jewish vital records >from current and former
territories of Poland. Where such records are available, they may
include towns which are now part of Lithuania, Ukraine and Belarus.
On the other hand, I suggest you don't close any doors. You may
well find networking within the German Jewish SIG will result in
important leads for your research.
