Dear Fellow Researchers,

As an update to the recent announcement about the Bolimow PSA project, I'm
happy to let you know that a list of surnames contained in the Bolimow data
-- spanning the years 1855-1888 -- is now online.

Access <http://www.jewishgen.org/jri-pl/psa/bolimowsurn.htm> to see if your
surnames of interest are included in the Bolimow PSA data.

Please read on to find out how you can access these records.

o Proximity to Other Jewish Communities

The town of Bolimow is located at Latitude 52/05 and Longitude 20/10, halfway
between Lodz and Warsaw. Pre-war Jewish communities located within 22 miles
of Bolimow were (in order of proximity):

Skierniewice, Wiskitki, Lowicz, Mszczonow, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Jezow,
Sobota, Wyszogrod, Bielawy, Rawa Mazowiecka and Czerwinsk.

o Summary of Records Indexed

The LDS films for Bolimow end in 1858, just before we get to the records for
the people we know through family stories or contemporary records.

The non-microfilmed Bolimow data that will be added to the JRI-Poland
database consist of 988 indices to:
Births: 1855-57, 1859-1888
Marriages: 1857, 1860-1862, 1864, 1866-1867, 1869-1888
Deaths: 1855-1857, 1859-1862, 1867-1888

o How You Can Contribute

The budget for indexing the Bolimow records is $193.76. This is not a large
budget, but we need everyone's support to reach this goal. Whatever you can
contribute will be very much appreciated and will help bring us that much
closer to our goal.

A donation in any amount is welcome. All individuals (or families) who are
able to contribute $50 or more to this effort will receive the complete
database as an Excel file for your personal research.

Once these indices are added to the database, you may simply print out an
order form >from the Jewish Records Indexing-Poland web site and order the
records >from the Polish State Archives.

accepted in US Dollars unless you use a VISA credit card. Your VISA will be
charged in your local currency. However, please identify the amount of your
contribution in US Dollars.

All contributions should be marked "FOR THE LODZ PSA PROJECT- BOLIMOW." If
you send a check, please write this on the face of the check.
