I am very pleased to announce that 6046 new indices to non-microfilmed Jewish
vital records of Kazimierz Dolny (Kuzmir) are pending addition to the
JRI-Poland database. The mid-19th century and the very beginning of the 20th
century Jewish vital records of this town have been indexed by the JRI-Poland
team in Warsaw as part of the JRI-Poland Polish State Archives (PSA) Project.

Kazimierz Dolny is located on the Wisla (Vistula) river 27 miles / 43.5
kilometers W of Lublin.

The types and years of records of the new indices to the Kazimierz Dolny
records are as follows:

Grooms 586
Brides 586
Deaths 1636
TOTAL 6046

Births: 1843-1844, 1847-1862, 1864-1865, 1867-1870, 1872-1884,
1886-1898
Marriages: 1849-1850, 1852, 1855, 1861-1862,1864-1865, 1867-1870, 1872-1876,
1879-1880, 1882-1884, 1886-1901
Deaths: 1849-1850, 1855, 1861-1862,1864-1865, 1867-1870, 1872-1876,
1879-1880, 1882-1884, 1886-1899

Indexes to non-microfilmed 19th century Kazimierz Dolny Jewish records housed
in the Lublin archives are being indexed for addition to the JRI-Poland
database under an agreement between JRI-Poland and the Polish State Archived
(PSA). For information about the PSA project see:

The additional material will permit expansion of your research into time
periods and/or geographical areas previous not available. Once these new
indexes are available you may print out an order form >from the Jewish Records
Indexing-Poland web site and order the records for the Polish State Archives.

The estimated budget for indexing the Kazimierz Dolny records is $935. A
donation of any amount is greatly appreciated. All researchers who
contribute a minimum of $100 are eligible to receive an EXCEL spreadsheet
with every record in the Kazimierz Dolny project for their own personal
research.

This will enable you to see the information well in advance of its general
availability in the JRI-Poland Searchable Database. In addition, you will be
able to view all the records at once and work with the data performing
searches and sorts.
