I am pleased to announce that fundraising is now complete for "Phase

Thank you, Stanley Diamond, for your years and years of work that
have made it possible for all of us to have access to thousands of
index records for our families! Our thanks also to Michael Tobias
and Sheila Salo, both of whom provide less visible (but vital)
contributions to the JRI-Poland effort.

Of course, we each have a personal angle on these matters. For me, I
feel a great debt to Diamond, Tobias, and Salo for allowing me to
find dozens of my ENGLENDER records among the 20353 records now
available on the JRI-Poland web site for Czestochowa and the towns
listed above.

I would like to offer my thanks to Michael Chen (for his
stage-setting work on the LDS films for the town of Czestochowa), to
Mark Shilling (who inventoried the records for Praszka and Krzepice),
to Leah Jordan Bisel (for working with the films for Szczekociny),
and to Morris Wirth (who inventoried the LDS microfilms of the Jewish
records for all the other towns in the Czestochowa project!). And
thank you to the hard-working town leaders for this project: Gloria
Berkenstat Freund, Alan Radack, Mark A. Shilling, Abraham Stavsky,
Diana Terry, and David Rose.

I would like to collectively thank the many persons who contributed
funding to this project. Their contribution remains somewhat
invisible, but of course all would be impossible without the funding
they provide.

Of course, there will be a Phase 2 for this project. I will announce
details as soon as possible.
