I have just received a death record, and would like to know what cause
of death was attributed to. The column heading is "Choroba i rodzaj
smierci" in what I assume is Polish, and "Krankheit und Todesart" in
German -- I'm assuming this is translated as "cause of death" or some
similar phrase. The term that is written in, as best as I can make it
out, is GRUZLICA. What might GRUZLICA be?
TIA for your help.

Yes, you are right, "Choroba i rodzaj smierci/Krankheit und Todesart" is
verbally "Disease and kind of death" which means cause of death.
"Gruzlica" is tuberculosis.
