Presumably Harris was the anglicised form of a Polish/Jewish name.
Can anyone please tell me under what name he is likely to be listed in the
Kalisz records? I gather the surname was probably MAJZNER or MAYSNER.

His parents were Isaac and Sarah nee COHEN.

My grandfather was known as Harris in the USA but his name at birth and prior
to immigrating >from Prussia/Poland was Chaim or Heim. His birth was 1859 and
he lived in the Lodz region.

I hope this helps.
