JRI-Poland Plock Archive Project - Progress #poland

Greta James <gjam6037@...>

Fellow Researchers,

I am pleased to announce that the Plock Archive project of Jewish Records
Indexing - Poland is making good progress.

The goal of this initiative is to index those Jewish vital records held in
the Plock branch of the Polish State Archives that have not been filmed by
the LDS. The JRI-Poland team in Warsaw have now created indexes for all six
of these towns.

To date, many researchers have generously contributed to this project and I
would like to personally thank all of them. However, we still need to
continue to raise the funds required for this work. As each town becomes
fully funded, the file will be added to the JRI-Poland database.

We are still looking for town leaders to coordinate the fund raising for
three of the six towns noted below.

The Plock State Archive contains records for 6 towns.

If you would like to help, please contact me. In order to bring this project
to fruition and make these thousands of indices to records available in the
JRI-Poland online database, we need help >from you.

I welcome questions >from researchers interested in any of the towns so I can
give you more specific details for your towns.

I would like to thank all those working for Jewish Records Indexing - Poland
for giving us the means to carry out this great project. And it is great,
not only in scope but also in generosity. It's there for all of us.

I will continue to keep you posted on the progress of this project.
