I am getting many inquiries about particular set of Revision Lists for our towns in Bessarabia/Moldova.
Recently It was a question about 1780s Revision in what was at time Moldova Principality done by
Russian occupying army. We know that this Reviison took place, and it had 3,000+ names or families
(?). Unfortunately we were not able yet to find that set. I believe that the set is not in Moldovan
Archves, but possible in St. Petersburg, Russia or maybe Moscow, Russia. Also I told you that I found
just a few records >from 1897 All Russia Census - that is it for now for that
Here is a very good new finding, I believe you will be happy with. Recently I found almost 1,500 pages
of records >from Family Lists for Middle Class, Kishinev, 1910! I personally think that this set is very
important to Kishinev research, since the Revisions stopped in 1859, and only little was available after
That set of 1910 is ALREADY in work, and hopefully next time in summer of 2019 we will get these
records in our database!
I also hope that we get soon other kinds of records, like educational, hospital, land records, etc.
Please let me know if oyu have any questions, suggestions.
All the best,
