In the few weeks since the "Surname Distribution Mapper"
went live, feedback has confirmed our anticipation that this
new tool would be a great boon for researchers who utilize
this addition to JRI-Poland search options.

In his article for the Canadian Jewish News, journalist and
long-time genealogist, Bill Gladstone, emphasizes the
importance of the "progressive mode" that displays the
march, via a sort of still-frame animated movie, of the
tree icons across the map in 10-year intervals.

Gladstone also quotes Gary Mokotoff, publisher of Avotaynu,
the International Review of Jewish Genealogy, who
observed, "The Surname Distribution Mapper offers a
magnificent pictorial representation" of where one's
ancestral relatives lived in Poland.

As one researcher excitedly commented, "I found family
where I never expected." We hope you will too!
