Vital records for several towns in the Wilno District (which was in
Poland between World Wars I and II) have been translated by the Vilnius
District Research Group of LitvakSIG. If your ancestors were married,
divorced or died in
we may have translated the record of their life event.
Note that the Privacy Law in Lithuania is slightly different than the
Privacy Law in Poland. In Lithuania, records are confidential for 100
years >from the birth or 30 years after the death of a person. If no
birth or death dates are known, documents may be released 70 years after
they were issued.
Please contact me privately for more information.
