2020 Conference in San Diego #bessarabia
Yefim Kogan
Hello everybody,
You all know that our next Jewish Genealogical Conference is going to be in San Diego, California next summer. I want to encourage you to come and enjoy a great environment of genealogical researchers who are trying to get more about their families, but also to help others. As I mentioned many many times in order to advance your research you may need to help others. Remember we are all connected, and people at the conference are trying hard to help others. There are many classes for beginners, and advance researchers, translation services, mentoring services. Our Bessarabia SIG always has a good presentation at the conference. You can read about our last 8 years participations at these conference! You could find texts of presentations, even audio discussions >from some sessions at this site: https://www.jewishgen.org/bessarabia/PTM_ArticleList.asp?attid=16&ord=D Also >from last conference I started to have personal one-on-one consultations with our members. I believe these meetings were very productive. If you are planning to come, or even considering such possibility, please let me know. We need to plan our meetings, accordingly. I am also asking our members to share their research, a let people at the conference to know about your methods, success stories. Maybe someone can let us know about a Jewish history of a district or town of Bessarabia, like Khotin or Soroki for example. I would be glad to help you if you have any questions. I wish all the best, and hopefully we meet at the conference in San Diego. All the best, Yefim
