Dear BIALY Friends --

I am particularly interested in the town of Tykocin, where my
maternal grandmother was born. (Tiktin to all you Yiddish-speakers).
Because the synagogue is still extant (as a museum), many American
Jewish tour groups go there, including students on the "March of the
Living." Has there been any thought as to how we might harness this
tourist influx for genealogical purposes (having folks
transcribe/translate headstones and other monuments, for instance)?.
