1937-1941 Immigration Visa files #poland

Jim Bennett

My wife's aunts, uncles and cousins lived in Nowogrudok between the world
wars. The town was in NE Poland during this time. In the years 1937-1941
They made strenuous efforts -aided by close relatives in the U.S. willing to
sponsor them-- to obtain immigration visas, even reducing their request to
simply allow the children to immigrate.

We made some inquiries attempting to locate the files on this case, at the
National Archives, but never got anywhere. We assume that the U.S.
consulate in Warsaw was the place where application was made.
We never got anywhere with our research.

So we would be grateful to hear >from others who have succeeded to obtaining
such files about how to proceed.
