Jewish Genealogy Courses Spring 2016 #poland
Phyllis Kramer
Greetings ... in JewishGen land we are dedicated to making the
search easier by promoting better organization ( (want to find the items quickly?) and research methodology (need to remember where you got that piece of data?). Our classes are detailed on www.jewishgen.org/education Organize & Research Online (starting April 21st) is for advanced beginners who have used Ancestry and other online databases and still have questions or want to really organize information. It focuses on your immigrant ancestors and their immediate families in the United States. See the full description of the lessons etc on http://www.jewishgen.org/education/description.asp?course=40046 Highlights: Lessons are read/downloaded at your own pace; this is a one on one personal mentoring program where students post an ancestral branch, set goals for their research, and work with the instructor 24/7 We also offer one of our Basic courses, Lets Get Organized in May. This text based course with daily exercises is part of the Value-Added Services program, and we waive the tuition for those who have contributed $100 to our general fund within the last 12 months....And we're planning a May Value Added Class for the new Belarus Website! Notes: The seder can be a wonderful opportunity to exchange information and encourage family interest. Also, consider the 5 minute videos on navigating JewishGen and its key databases on the bottom of the education page (http://www.Jewishgen.org/education) happy hunting! Phyllis Kramer, NYC & Palm Beach Gardens, Fl vp, education, JewishGen MODERATOR'S NOTE: Just a reminder that Jewish Records Indexing-Poland is an independent organization whose database, discussion group and website are "hosted" by JewishGen. Each group has its own, separate administrative and fundraising structure.
