My Bialystok connection #poland

Joel Rose <joelrose@...>

I am searching for relatives of my great-grandparents, Yisrael (Israel)
LIFSHITZ (spelled a variety of ways) and his wife, Agnes Marsha LATSKY
or LETSKEY. They must have been born c. 1845 (very approximate),
presumably in Bialystok. He was called Rebbe.

Agnes' father was named Mayer LATSKY and her mother's family name was
MECHKY or MECHLEY.

Known children were Nahum LIFSHITZ, b. November 1879; Devorah (Dora), b.
between 1881-87, my grandmother; Golde, Hene, & Mira, all younger than
my grandmother; Max, b. March 17, 1883; and Aron, b. November 1, 1887.
Devorah and the three boys all emigrated to the U.S., Golde was believed
to have gone to Brest Litovsk, Hene to Moscow, and Mira stayed in
Bialystok, where she presumably perished in the Holocaust.

Most of this information is far >from rock solid (.g. hand-written
entries in a baby book).

Any information on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Joel Rose in Buffalo
