UPDATE: Wyszkow Monument Dedication to former Mayor Wolski and 2 Rubinowicz Sisters #poland

Howard Orenstein

A monument will be unveiled at the location where the synagogue stood in
Wyszkow, commemorating the pre-war Mayor of Wyszkow, Stanislaw Wolski.
He and his wife have been honored by Yad Vashem (Israel's Shoah Martyrs'
and Heroes' Remembrance Authority) as Righteous Among Nations. They are
credited with saving two Jewish sisters, Bracha and Rachel Rubinowicz,
who will be depicted in the same monument with Mayor Wolski. The
monument was designed by famous Polish sculptor Czeslaw Dzwigaj.

The event will take place on June 3, 2018.

First, at noon, in the local church there will be a special service in
memory of the Mayor, Mr. Wolski, and afterwards, at 1:00 p.m. the
ceremony at the monument will start.

Who is going to speak is still to be settled.

If you are someone who has roots in Wyszkow and are interested in attending
please send me your email address and postal address and you will be sent
a personal invitation by the current Wyszkow Mayor.

I look forward to hearing >from you.

All the best,
Howard Orenstein, Wyszkow Town Leader, JRI-Poland
