Lefelman family in Argentina #latinamerica

Shelly Crane

Hello to Latin American Sigsters,

I am trying to obtain information about a Mauricio (Moshe) LEFELMAN who
immigrated in the early 1900's >from Priluki, Ukraine (approximately 100 miles or
173 kilometers SW of Kiev) to Medanos, Buenos Aires, Argentina in the
early 1900's. He may have had a brother named Leon and sister Chana. Mauricio
married Clara ROSENBERG. Some of his descendants eventually immigrated to
Israel and others remain scattered about in Argentina.

Mauricio may have had a brother Leon and sister Chana, but I have no
information about them. However, it is believed both Leon and Mauricio were buried
in Rosaria, Argentina. Chana may have returned to the Ukraine, but do not
have any more details.

At this time, I and a fellow researcher are trying to learn the name of
Mauricio and Leon's parents. Is there a way to find out where they are buried
and perhaps have someone take a picture of the grave sites? I'm also
interested in finding their death certificates, but am not familiar with the
Argentina genealogy sources.

By the way, I used the main Jewish cemeteries web site >from Buenos Aires
and did not find any LEFELMAN's. _http://www.amia.org.ar/difuntos.asp_

Please respond privately unless you have useful tips that might benefit
other researchers. Unfortunately, I do not speak Spanish.

Thank you!

Regards,

MODERATOR NOTE : Point of information, the city is Rosario and if you check the
JewishGen InfoFiles http://www.jewishgen.org/InfoFiles/ there is a section on
Argentina and a fairly good listing of Genealogical Sources.
