Roger -If you click on Starting your research and also click Contacting the Archives you will find the information you require to get started with your research. www.jewishgen.org/Latvia You can read and follow links on the Courland Research Group page as Jekabpils (previously Jakobstatdt) was in Courland. www.jewishgen.org/Courland You can search the All Latvia Database by filling in the name in the search box at the bottom of the page and then clicking on the buttons that come up on the next page if you have any hits. www.jewishgen.org/databases/Latvia For example there is a Sara Rivke Schlossberg >from Jekabpils in the Riga Passport registration database and there are 72 hits in the Riga Tax administration list etc. I would imagine that if you request a search >from the Archivists at the Latvian State Historical Archives and give as many names and dates as you have that you will get a very positive result.
