Litvak "borders" #lithuania

In Benjamin Harshav's introduction to "The Last Days of Jerusalem of
Lithuania: Chronicles >from the Vilna Ghetto", 1939-44 p.xxx - in the context of discussing the borders of Lithuania he comments that the borders of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania are honored to this day only by the Jews: the whole area with its capital in Vilna is called in Yiddish Lite (Litah) and its Jews, the Litvaks, are "marked by a distinct Yiddish dialect and mentality for learning, different customs of cooking, and a sense of cultural superiority."
