It is possible, given how accents and information can be hard to get
clearly, that she spoke of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, thus Galicia, which
includes modern day Tluste /Tolstoy in the Ukraine now. My grandfather's
papers identify him coming >from Austria when he emigrated >from Zaleszczyki.
It would be worth running your surname in the JRI-Poland database to see
