The KARABELNIK/BELNIK/KRUBELNIK clan of my Kelme
branch are distant relatives of the Tosofot scholars

from France -->from a town called Corbiel corrupted to

Karabel -- who fled the frying pan of the Crusaders by
jumping into the fire of Lita (it took a long time for
the flames to reach them, but it caught up around
1941-2).

There are BELNIKs in England today, but where exactly
we don't know, we lost contact with them.
