Dear Ravsiggers,

I'm looking for any information about R. Simon HORCHHEIM who was
rabbi in Mutzig (Alsace) in the years 1780/1790 and died in 1805.
He married Edel, a daughter of R. Loeb ELSASS who was also rabbi in
Mutzig for all the Jewish communities of the bishopric of
Strasbourg. Did R. Simon really come >from Horchheim? Where did he
work before settling in Mutzig? Was his father also a rabbi?

Any help will be greatly acknowledged.
