I have been searching for many years for an ancestor of mine, Rabbi
Moshe WALDMANN, a Romanische rabbi. My uncle was named in his
honor. As a child I think I read about him in either the Gratz (?)
Encyclopedia or the Encyclopedia Judaica. I cannot find any
reference again. My grandfather, Avram Abba WALDMANN emigrated from
Podjace , Galicia, in 1900 and my uncle was born in New York in
1901. My ggrandfather was Shmuel and my gggrandfather was Zelig. I
can't even find a Rabbi WALDMAN(N). Was there such a person?
