Any TCHEMERINKYs out there who are aware of an ancestor known as
Rabbi David , who was the Rabbi of Novarodok during the 18th century?

My ABRAMOWITZ ancestor was supposedly the brother of the above David,
who authored a book ("sefer") called "galia Masechta" ( or "Galia
Masechet"), but I was informed by someone in Jewish Gen. that he went
under the surname of TZCHEMERINSKY. His son-in-law who published Rabbi
David's "sefer" wentunder the surname of RABINOWITZ.

I contacted a Prof. Tzchemerinsky (of Chicago and California) and he
was not aware of the above Rabbi David.
