note to the following could be included: Lewin Wulfberg, his son Wulf and Wulf's son Tsalel, all listed in the Goldingen Jewish Family List for 1835, were my greatgreatgreat, greatgreat and great grandfather, respectively. Tsalel emigrated to Josvainiai, Kaunas, Lithuania. In 1885, his son Moses (my grandfather) -- having run away to escape the Czar's army -- emigrated to Goshen, Indiana, USA. In 1906, he founded a country store in Wakarusa, Indiana, where he raised a family of two sons and five daughters, the youngest of whom was my mother, Jeanette Wolfberg Rosenbloom. The descendants of Moses, and hence of Tsalel, Wulf and Lewin, were numbered in the scores by 2010. They are proud to trace their ancestry to Goldingen. Joel Rosenbloom Washington, D.C. .
