Requesting translation from Yiddish into English of 1929 letter from Galati #romania

Martin Fischer

Many thanks to those Rom-sig subscribers who have kindly translated the
brief Romanian section of a 4-page letter that I posted last week to
ViewMate. However, I have been unable to find someone to translate the

from the references to hundreds of thousands of lei that I can decipher
among the lines of Yiddish, I assume this 1929 letter >from Lotij ABRAMOVICI
of Galati, Romania, to her American uncle, Herman LANDMAN, of Kansas City,
Mo., continues Lotij's dismal tale of financial troubles and uncertainty
that earlier letters have revealed.

Please see VM7527 through VM7530 at:

As indicated above, I no longer need the Romanian translated, but I would be
very grateful to have the Yiddish translated into English.

Again, thank you for your help.
