George,
I have an ancestor named Elazar KOSHINSKI. It may be
that KOSHINSKI and KISHINISKI is the same name (?!?).
I descend of Elazar's son-in-law, Chaim Baruch of
Kishinev, who came to Tzfat and still lived in 1875
(the Silbermans of Tzfat are his descendants).
I don't know the family name of Chaim Baruch.
Elazar Koshinski was also the father-in-law of Rabbi
Menachem Nachum FRIEDMAN, the Shtefenesht Rebbe, and
the Bender Rebbe.
By family tradition, Elazar KOSHINSKI descended of
Rabbi Gedalya of Linitz.
If any of it rings a bell or helps, please let me know

I am seeking information about ancestors that may have
lived in Kishinev (Chisinau, Moldava) in the late
1700s and early to mid-1800s .... I have been told
that one ancestor was named Leibele ("Little Lion")
KISHINISKI. He had a son who eventually assumed the
surname RITEVSKY. Leibele had a brother named Meishele
who had sons who
assumed surnames of BERNSTEIN, SHAPIRO, FRIEDBERG, and
MOZESSON....
