Yizkor Book Project update, February 2003 #scandinavia

The report of the Yizkor Book Project for February 2003 is very
encouraging. Again, my compliments to our energetic and talented
volunteer staff and to the donors of material, who continue to be
eager to see yizkor book translations online. For February we had 4
new books, 7 new entries, and 17 updates of books already online.

New Books:

-Butrimonys (Butrymance), Lithuania: the entire book except for
graphics is online
-Orgeyev, Moldova
-Pinkas HaKehillot, Yugoslavia: the entire table of contents is now
online for this volume
-Wloszczowa, Poland

New Entries:

-Bukowina: poem "Kaddish" and "Education of the Jews in Bukowina,"
volume 1 of Geschichte der Juden in der Bukowina.

-Bukowina: all the graphic images for Geschichte der Juden in der
Bukowina, volume 2, are now online at

monumental task was done by Osnat Ramaty of the Yizkor Book Project
html staff, our resident "expert" on preparation of graphic images.
