One-Day Seminar in Israel #sephardic

Mathilde Tagger <tagger@...>

Dear all,

The 2nd Annual One-Day Seminar, organized by the Israel Genealogical Society
(IGS), will take place on November 20, at Beit VWolyn, Givatayim (close to
Tel Aviv).
This year the Seminar will focus on MILITARY GENEALOGY, that is to say:
military information sources used for genealogical purpose or military
documents used for tracing the life of a Jewish soldier or officer who
served in the army of the country where he lived.

The whole program, the abstracts of the lectures and the biographiess of the
lecturers are all on the .IGS website:

Although many lectures are not specifically linked to Ashkenazi or Sephardic
Jews, the program will include 2 specific Sephardic lectures on Algerian
Jews and on the Balkans Jews

A special session "Ask the Experts" will take place during the lunch break,
including many countries and regions. An expert for the Sephardim will be
present at this session. The biographies of the experts are among those of
the lecturers.

On the same website you will be able to download the Registration Form. Pay
attention: early registration will end on November 3.

Hoping to meet many of you on November 20,
