Information <information@...>

The program for the 27th IAJGS International Conference on Jewish
Genealogy is now online at www.slc2007.org with nearly 100 speakers
and approximately 200 lectures, breakfasts, luncheons, and computer
workshops >from which to choose. Using the "Conference Program"
button at the site will allow you to scan the entire program or to select
just the topics, SIGs or speakers that interest you the most.

from the opening session with Paul Shapiro providing the latest on
access to the holdings of ITS Archives at Bad Arolsen to the closing
Banquet with Dan Rottenberg, speaking on his book, "Finding Our
Fathers," on the 30th anniversary of its publication, the program is
rich in content, including genetics, computing and technology, archival
research, research techniques, and SIG and BOF (birds of a feather)

As we get closer to the conference there will be regular announcements
of late breaking news. Shortly, details of an exciting conference film
festival, free to registrants, will be posted on the conference website.
Be sure to sign up for the conference discussion group, hosted by
JewishGen, so that you are the first to hear about the latest conference
plans and can share your thoughts, questions and answers. You can do
this by signing up for "Salt Lake City 2007" at

If you would like to review prior conference bulletins, they can all be
scanned at the conference website under the "Breaking News" tab.
And, the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) tab responds to many
questions you might have about the hotel, registration, religious
services and more.

Registration can be done on-line at the website (or by printing off
and mailing in a form if you prefer). While you are registering for the
conference, you will want to sign up for some of the extra fee items,
like "Breakfasts with the Experts," SIG luncheons, the closing Banquet
and the Computer Workshops. Seating is limited in each of these
events. If you have already registered, you can use the "Registration
Update" button to add these events. You can also link to the Hilton's
special IAJGS conference website offering participants deeply discounted

The conference is the product of thousands of hours of volunteer effort
and we can always use more help, both in preparing for the conference
and during the conference itself. So, if you want to assist (staffing a
hospitality or registration desk, stuffing envelopes, introducing speakers
and moderating sessions and a lot more), please let us know by emailing
us at volunteers@slc2007.org.

See you in SLC this Summer!
