My wife's late aunt was born Liebe Chiena Chait on 12th April 1916 in
Bredasdorp, about two hours drive >from Cape Town.
As you are looking for Judah Leib Chait >from Capetown, I would think that
the two could well have been related.
I will try and get hold of her daughter in England to ascertain whether
there is a connection.
