I have a cousin Billy Stern, now in Australia, whose cousin Robbie
Sonnenberg came to England about 1953 to work at M and S as he was >from the
OK Bazaar family who had some connection with Marks and Spencers. Do you
know the connection?

I search the descendants of brothers who founded the OK Bazaars stores in
South Africa:

Malech COHEN, wife, Rose
Samuel (Sam) COHEN, wife, Dora

They emigrated to South Africa, probably through Rouxville, OFS, anytime
between 1900-1926, >from Kovno, Lithuania, and possibly spent some time in
London. One of their 7 known siblings, Sarah (COHEN) BLUMENTHAL, is my
grandmother. Their father is Abraham Isaac
COHEN/KAHAN/KAGAN/KAHANOV/KAHANOFF.

They quite possibly knew the family of Rose (COHEN) & Hyman BANUS/BEINASH
(var.) in Lithuania and London - one of their 6 children, Mark BANUS, was
a renowned London accountant.
