Amsterdam, Prussian-Poland, Bessarabia, Russian Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire,

food and celebrations Drawing on social, economic and historical records. I also
explore their background, places of origin, motives for immigration, arrival in
the UK and experiences as they adjusted to their new surroundings.
