I just wanted to inform you all that there is a special

* Ekaterinoslav Area Research Group *

with it's own discussion group.

The Ekaterinoslav Area Research Group is dedicated to serving
as an information-gathering vehicle and clearinghouse for Jewish
genealogical as well as historical information relating to the
Jewish community in and around the city formerly known as
Ekaterinoslav and now called Dnipropetrovsk in the Ukraine.
Because many Jews relocated to Ekaterinoslav or the surrounding
agricultural colonies >from Belarus (and many of these in turn
subsequently emigrated), many of our members and potential members
will be particularly interested in Belarus-Ekaterinoslav
connections. Therefore the Belarus SIG Online Newsletter

http://www.jewishgen.org/Belarus/newsletter/bnl_index.htm

publishes articles of interest for Ekaterinoslav researchers.

The Ekaterinoslav group was started in 1999 after the New York
Conference, but have joined the Ukraine SIG when it was
established.

There will presumably sometime soon be a link >from the Ukraine
SIG website to the Ekaterinoslav Group.

Until then you can subscribe to it as to all the other JewishGen
lists by -- as usual -- going to:

http://www.jewishgen.org/listserv/sigs.htm

and follow the instructions.
