JGS of Canada (Toronto) <info@...>

Only a month to go until the 22nd IAJGS International Conference on Jewish
Genealogy. If you haven’t registered yet here are a few things to consider.

1. The Event
Look at the Conference Programme at There has never
been as comprehensive a programme. It features some of our old standby
speakers plus a whole new range of exciting experts to entertain, enthral
and educate. As some recent news article have said, the heroes of Jewish
Genealogy are congregating in Toronto!

2. The Venue
Toronto is a great city and very safe. The Hotel setting for the Conference
is unbelievable with over 35,000 sq. ft. dedicated to our Conference on a
fully secure floor accessible only to Conference attendees. Over 14 Vendors
will congregate in our Exhibition area with booths to sell books, maps,
equipment, software, and more. As always, Avotaynu and JewishGen will be
there to show you their newest items.

3. Research
The combined Resource and Computer Rooms will be the biggest ever. This
week we expect to be able to announce several new major acquisitions which
have never been available together before and will provide a major resource
for immigration research. Sample the latest software >from Family Tree
Maker, and DorotTree. The Computer Room sponsor,,
will provide complementary access to their incredible databases. Check your

an event not to be missed. If you haven’t registered for the banquet, go to

8. Camaraderie and Networking
Maybe the best part of the Conference experience is the chance to meet your
fellow enthusiasts. Many a long-standing problem in research has been
solved in discussions at the many tables available to sit and schmoose.
Many a new friend has been made. All of this in the safe secure environment
of the largest Conference venue ever.

9. Easy to Get To.
Toronto is less than a day’s drive >from a huge percentage of the US
population. If you live in the northeaster or Midwest US, you have no
excuse not to attend. If you live in other parts of the US or the world, we
have fast safe connections >from all major airports. If you live in Europe,
we speak French and should be here. The English should support the
colonies. The Israeli’s should come and meet their Counsel General who will
attend. Canadians can meet some of their leaders, who will be here and help
us welcome the world.

TIME IS SHORT! If you haven’t registered for the Conference or the various
events DO SO NOW!
