Hi all.
The late Paul Jacobi, believed that my family Kalafa/Kalafer, >from the town
of Pomerzany, descended >from the Kalafory/Kalahora family. This family was
very prominent in Krakow where they served as doctors after arriving from
Spain through Italy. Other known figures in this family were rabbis, like
Yisrael Shmuel Kalahora and Yitzchak Darshan of Posen.
I've personally seen graves in the Krakow old cemetery of family members.
