The original language of the databases is Russian - with cyrillic letters.
If you type the query in your Latin characters keyboard, "if there is no
cyrillic letters or special symbols in search pattern" it is automatically
transcribed into Cyrillic.
A dot(.) in the search pattern corresponds to any data symbol. Output is in
Latin characters. You can see the name you input in Latin characters
transliterated in Cyrillic - at least with my settings, which enable the
display of Cyrillic characters.
The page says that "the transcription is not single-meaning. Therefore, the
best way is to use cyrillic letters.". but, anyway, it worked in my first
try with Latin characters, doing a simple automatic transliteration. Where
transcription options may exist, cases may require "copying and pasting"
The page includes a string with the Cyrillic alphabet so you can also
choose to copy and paste - character after character - the Cyrillic
spelling of the name you are searching. A table with Latin and Cyrillic
characters helps you select the letters.
Please note I have not used the Cyrillic copy and paste feature, am posting
this before using it, and do not know how to solve problems in displaying
Cyrillic in different browsers and operating systems. The page explains how
to do the searches.

characters keyboard I just thought I should share the website with the
