It would be fun to compile a list of the many USA cities and towns which
were named after English, European and Russian and even biblical ones and do
research about the groups of people who named them when they settled in the US.

Odessa, Texas, is a well-known example, Paris, Illinois is another I can
think of quickly. Here in Indiana, Carmel and Goshen are some of the biblical
place names.

But Rabbi Saydman had asked about the Nova Praha in the Ukraine so that is
the one I tried to help him with when I mentioned Novaya Praga in the Kirovograd
oblast, a town not far >from the Kirovograd city which he had also inquired
