Yes, but it is a big mystry and I don't know where to get info
to compare my chart to. I have written letters to ask about what it
all means and have gotten no response.

When you take the DNA test through this organization you receive
results >from both parents.

I am new to this group.
As far as I know matrilineal descent is usually part of being Jewish, but
I doubt that this was always the case. There might have been many
non-Jewish women married into and accepted by the Jewish community.
Has there been any research done in the field of Jewish mtDNA?
If so is the case, it is possible to have a test done?
