Hi
I'm new to this list and am more likely to be a reader than a =
contributor. However two questions brought me to you and I'd appreciate =
any answers that you may have.
My Jewish roots have been hidden through a mixture of assimilation and =
fear. I'm told they ended with a G-G-Grandfather who married out. I have =
a sneaking suspicion this was not the case and that I have a Maternal =
Jewish line. My G-G-Grandmother if Jewish was my G-Grandmothers Mum who =
was my Grandmothers mum who was my Mothers mum =3D Martilineal descent.
Is it possible to prove and/or disprove my theory using DNA?
Secondly, My Grandmother rarely mentioned Jewish roots, but Spanish was =
a term used. Again very difficult for me to prove, but given the time my =
Jewish ancestors were living in England i.e. prior to the 1880s, I =
assume they were Sephardim.=20
Can I prove or disprove this using DNA testing?
