Try doing a town search of the Ellis Island Database. Use Steve Morse's
Gold Form. It is at:

Be sure to try all the spelling options that Morse offers as well as all

A letter that we have has been translated and it comes >from Shtetl Stolnoe,
Frunze Kirgastan written in 1913. The family I am researching is that of
Simeon or Solomon Sorkin and his wife Raisa Ariadna NARIKSKAIA or
NARINSKAYA. They have several children Iosef, Manya, David, Olga and Ester
(whose name may be Enta, Esie or Yanusu). Ester is married to Iosef TSIVLIN
and she wrote the 1913 letter to an aunt and uncle in Lincoln, Nebraska,
USA. The family may also have been in Kirgastan in the 1940's, but their
home was in Snovsk, Chernigov, Gorodnya, Ukraine. My Question is about
Shtetl Stolnoe where they seem to have gone when there were revolutions and
wars in their homeland. Does anyone know anything about Shtetl Stolnoe
and/or if there would be a list of who lived there? The family appeared to
live on Pervomayskaya st.

Thank you in advance for any help
