I have a copy of this book. It's a good book as far as it goes. I wouldn't call it comprehensive but it does touch on a lot of organizations. Mr. Sorkin was going to update it at one point but as far as I know, it never happened.

understand is a comprehensive history of the landsmanschafften in Chicago.
