My grand aunt Rose, who was born in Novoukrainka (Cherson Gubernia)
told me long time ago that her Yiddishe name was Momtze Reize. I've
been trying to figure out the origin of name Momtze

- Beider doesn't list this name
- Rabbi Shmuel Gorr doesn't list this name
- Jewishgen's Given Names Database lists it as an equivalent of
Mintsye (which in turn is an equivalent of Mine which both Bader and
Gorr list) but provides no references.

Any additional clues would be appreciated.
