We had a very valuable conference, learned a lot and met new genealogists.
Now we a back to our projects small and large.
Two sections were updated this time ( go to What's New):
Genealogical Conferences with links to all sessions, slides and photos. Unfortunately you will see only my photos. If you have photos >from the conference, please share with our group.
Bessarabian Databases. Here you will find a list of sets of records planning to complete and upload to JewishGen at the end of 2016. Among them there are two large sets for Kishinev, also sets of records for Bricheni, Teleneshti, Rashkov. That list may grow. If you want to help translating records >from Russian, please let me know. I will try to send you a set of records you are most interested in (if we have them).
Please do not think that we abandoned the Cemetery projects... Definitely not. I hope next month some of the cemeteries will be completed. We also met at the conference talking about Cemetery Preservation project. Without that project we really cannot complete our photographing and indexing of the tombstones. For that project we do need many volunteers. Please come over.
All the best,
Bessarabia SIG Leader and Coordinator
