Search for Victor and Max Goufinkel #ukraine

Hello
I'm searching for Victor Gurfinkel, who lived in Berditchev around 1891, then moved to Rovno around 1911.
His son (one of his children?), Max was born in Berditchev in 189, and left Ukraine for France in 1910, where he started medical school (in Montpellier), then volunteered in the French Foreign Legion to fight during WWI. He became the Director of different health units in France, and died in Morlaix (Brittany) in 1947. He married a French Woman, but they didn't have any children.
The French spelling is Gourfinkel, but I'm not sure what the Cyrillic spelling of the name was. I'm not at all sure tinta Gourfinkel, the writer born in Odessa in 1900, belonged to the same family (see https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nina_Gourfinkel)
Any help with my research would be much appreciated.
Should anyone be interested in whatever I found on Max's Life in France, I'm quite willing to share all the documents at my disposal.

Pol
