Chernigov Gubernia research - Kazakevich, Krichevsky #ukraine

Hi,

I have queries about researching two different family trees in
Ukraine. I'll present just one of them here for now. It is the family
of Aharon-David KAZAKEVICH of Novogrod-Severskiy and later Konotop
(the family moved there circa 1910-5). He was married to Risia nee
KRICHEVSKY, daughter of Zalman, presumably >from the same region
(Chernigov). I have good info about their 9 children and their
descendants. Aharon-David apparently had a brother named Gilya, who
was a rabbi in Konotop and died in the holocaust. Their father may
have been a Cantonist in the Tasr's army.

First - if you are researching Kazakevich of Krichevsky in Chernigov
Gubernia, I would be happy to hear >from you. They also relate to
YUDOVICH of Konotop and KATZMAN who lived in 1930s Ialta, Crimea.
Secondly - I believe I have exhausted all online resources in months
of tedious work. Those are Jewishgen, MyHeritage, Family Search,
Ancestry, Geni, Holocaust online resources, Red Army online resources,
Russian and Jewish cemetery resources, WWI lists, and relevant Hebrew
resources. What should be my next step? How do I proceed looking for
documents in that region? Is there any documentation of Cantonists
with names and details?

Many thanks,

Seffy Efrati
