Warsaw directories >from 1807/1808, 1821, 1826, 1852, 1863, 1869, and
1870 are searchable through my site, along with
20th century directories and even one >from the 18th century. Below
the search box, there is a dropdown menu that defaults to "Any Place,"
which you can change to "Warsaw" to search only the directories with
geographic scope of Warsaw. Note, however, that many directories with
geographic scope larger than Warsaw will be excluded >from the search
if you do this, because I have not manually identified their
Warsaw-specific sections -- and, in some case, they are not organized
by place, making this impossible. Unless you are searching for a very
common surname, my advice is to search all directories (use the "Any
Place" option). Regardless of the geographic scope you search, you
can restrict the date by appending {1800-1899} to your search, if you
are only interested in the 19th century, for example.
