The first possibility that springs to mind is Nowy S=C4=85cz (Nay Sants), a
large and important Jewish centre. However, this is 181 miles south of
Warazawa and before 1914 it was in another country - the
Austro-Hungarian Empire.
More likely perhaps is the shtetl of Nieszawa (Nessau) 97 miles WNW of
Warszawa and within Warszawa guberniya (province). About 300 Jews
lived there in the mid-19th century.
