This is not a Jewish DNA question but may help a neophyte grope in this strange land.
A look at a world map show an almost total exclusivity for the Y DNA in the precolumbian Americas. The mt DNA however is split into two, at times three equal groups.
Does that mean that the mt DNA mutates faster, or these guys got their women by mail order >from another continent?
