Dr. Moritz Loewensohn was a resident of Grosse Mohrengasse 30, Vienna 2, when he was
transported >from Vienna to Theresienstadt on 11 July 1942. On 21 September 1942,
on Transport Bp, he was sent >from Theresienstadt to Treblinka concentration camp in
Poland. According to the Shoah database, he perished at Treblinka.
He was born in Vag Besztercze, Trencin Co., Hungary, 21 January 1873, the son of
Wilhelm LOEWENSOHN and his wife, Rosi TESCHNER. Rosi was a first cousin of my
great-grandmother, Adella (TESCHNER) TAUBER. I am interested in any additional
information about Moritz LOEWENSOHN who apparently went to Vienna as a young man. Specifically, I would like to know if he was married and had children /descendants. Has anyone come across his name in their genealogical research?
